If the White House and State House won’t stand up for reproductive freedom, City Hall can lead.
Pledge to advance reproductive freedom in your city.
As someone who cares about reproductive freedom, I pledge to ensure that my city does all it can to advance reproductive health, rights, and justice.

The National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) builds power at the state and local level to change public policy, galvanize public support, and normalize women’s decisions about abortion and contraception.
Using a partnership model, we provide state and local advocates with strategic guidance, hands-on support, and funding to create change from the ground up. In creating this Index, NIRH has built upon its long history of local policy advocacy. In 2008, NIRH launched the Urban Initiative for Reproductive Health to serve as a catalyst for progress for reproductive health, rights, and justice advances at the city level. Since 2008, NIRH has provided direct grants and hands-on support to more than 145 reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations in 37 states and 50 localities across the country.
We don’t just push back against restrictions on abortion and contraception; we fight for a society in which everyone has the freedom and ability to control their reproductive and sexual lives.
NIRH will continue to proactively arm cities and states across the country with the tools they need to pass policies that safeguard access to abortion and contraception, regardless of what happens in Washington, D.C.
